Easy and Simple pancakes, the only recipe you’ll ever need to make perfect pancakes every single time.
I know pancake Tuesday has passed already this year but we can’t wait to share these pancakes with you because it is absolutely TOO GOOD not to share right away.
These are your traditional classic pancakes. You simply cannot go wrong with these. However, if you are looking for thicker American-style pancakes recipe we have you covered here.
Whatever style of pancakes you may prefer we do not judge. Pancakes are definitely one of the basic recipes everyone should learn how to make. Life is simply just better with pancakes.
How to Make The Perfect Pancake
Making pancakes is actually very easy. All you need is a few basic ingredients that you likely already have in your kitchen. It’s a huge reason why somedays we’ll make pancakes for dinner because we’ve got the ingredients for it and not much else.
You’ll need: plain white flour, eggs, milk, butter, salt and vanilla extract.
If you have self-rising flour that can still work with this recipe. Self-raising flour contains salt and baking powder so just be aware that your pancakes may be a bit fluffier like american-style pancakes.
What to put on pancakes besides syrup
We absolutely love our pancakes with some berries. You can go absolutely fancy with some fresh strawberries and mascarpone or freshly whipped cream. You can also go traditional with freshly squeezed lemon and drizzle of honey. The options are unlimited.
Can you freeze?
Perhaps one of my favorite life-skills I’ve learned over the years is how you can freeze pancakes! Yessssss. So when you are craving some in the morning but don’t feel like making any.. simply pull out of the freezer. It is perfection.
Pancakes will keep in the freezer up to 3months. There are a few things to keep in mind if you are freezing. You want to freeze each pancake separated from each other. Once they become slightly frozen you can place them together in a freezer friendly bag or container.
You can do this in one of two ways. Either freeze them apart OR place a sheet of non-stick greaseproof paper between each pancake to avoid them from sticking together. Trust me, you’ll be glad you took this extra step.
To reheat frozen pancakes: place frozen pancake on a microwave safe plate into the microwave for 1-2minutes. You can also bake them at 190C for around 8minutes.
